Justice Crew will perform at the upcoming Apex Australia Teenage Fashion Awards (AATFA) National Final for an entertainment trifecta of fashion, dance and music in Sydney on Saturday 2nd October 2010 at Sydney Town Hall.
"We believe everyone has a unique talent and the most valuable thing you can do with your life is to let your talent shine," says Justice Crew, who have just launched their first single And Then We Dance.
The nine-piece dance act's advice echoes the AATFA mission of "youth potential unleashed". Now in its 21st year, the competition provides students from public and private secondary schools with a world-class forum to present original garments which they have designed and created from scratch.
From an entry pool of 900 student designers, just 48 finalists remain in competition for titles in four sections: Casual wear, Evening wear, Wearable art plus Society and the environment. Each category champion wins a Bernina sewing machine valued at more than $3,000 each while the National Final overall winner is crowned 2010 Young Designer of the Year and receives a scholarship at Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia in Melbourne.
Last year's National Final overall winner, 2009 Young Designer of the Year James Penrose, will launch his new summer collection and Sydney designer Fiona Buckingham will anchor the judging panel at the event.
And on the back of their national television awards show success earlier this year, Justice Crew will bring their inspiring brand of positivity to the AATFA annual national competition for two live performances during the catwalk show.

AATFA provides a unique outlet for emerging fashion talent. Past finalists have gone on to work in the fashion industry and even set up their own labels.
